This is a photostory of our trip to Macedonia, a country that not many people have ever heard of, let alone visited it. Although Macedonia does not feature in many travel magazines, the country does have a few natural gems, especially the beautiful blue surface of Lake Ohrid.

The country’s landscapes consist mostly of highlands and forests. Lake Ohrid is one of the oldest lakes in Europe and was named a UNESCO World Heritage site. Several picturesque churches and an imposing fortress line its shores.
